Jacob Tyler’s Les Kollegian seeks to raise $50,000 in eight weeks for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

– Company’s CEO launches www.onemillionsupporters.org to generate funds one dollar at a time –

SAN DIEGO – March 19, 2014 – Les Kollegian, CEO at Jacob Tyler, an award-winning, full-service, brand communications agency, is out to raise $50,000 in eight weeks for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through his site, www.onemillionsupporters.org. A two-time cancer survivor, and having lost friends and relatives to the disease, he is doing this as a candidate for the organization’s Man of the Year for the San Diego/Hawaii chapter.

“Raising this amount of money may be a lofty goal, but this is how I am choosing to see if I can make a difference in people’s lives as well as live up to the challenge of being ‘Man of the Year’ in 2014 for LLS,” said Kollegian. “I was extremely moved when watching the Emma’s Story video (viewable on the site) and hearing Dr. June’s quote ‘…Why it’s hard to say we want to cure cancer? We do. I think sometimes it’s hard actually to think that you might actually succeed…’ and how the research has helped cure Emma of Leukemia.

The OneMillionSupporters.org Website is unique in that it allows the donors to post a picture of themselves as a supporter, or a picture of a friend or relative to honor, to help find a cure for all blood-related cancers for as little as $1. Typically, such campaigns attempt to grab high dollar amounts.
