January 21, 2015, San Diego, CA – California Coast Credit Union (CCCU) – the oldest credit union in San Diego – recently tapped Jacob Tyler brand communications agency to enhance their online brand and persona. The Jacob Tyler team created a responsive website that focused on a user experience that both communicated the brand and culture of CCCU and provided an intuitive, educational experience for visitors. The site features headers and drop down menus that describe actions – like “spend and save” and “know and plan” – to guide visitors based on their needs. The site also guides users based on life stages (family, work, retirement, etc.) and milestones (buying a car, buying a home, etc.).
“We wanted a site that was not only easy to navigate, but would educate our customers as well,” said Tracy Fournier, Senior Online Marketer for CCCU. “It was important for us to differentiate ourselves from traditional banks and clearly communicate the benefits of managing finances with a credit unions, particularly CCCU.”
Working from CCCU’s existing brand guide, the Jacob Tyler team optimized CCCU’s brand for an online presence. “As brand builders, we understand the value of staying true to a brand guide and following established fonts, colors, imagery and communication guidelines,” said Michelle Peck, Jacob Tyler Creative Director. “While we always stay true to the core of the brand, we implemented evolution of the existing color schemes to create a fresh online presence and bring the brand experience to life.” After completion of the website, Jacob Tyler provided a brand guide addendum to be used for online communications.
