San Diego, July 23, 2012 – Jacob Tyler, San Diego’s leading brand communications agency, has been designated as a 2012 award winner for Best Places to Work in San Diego. This is the 13th year the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) has acknowledged San Diego’s best workplaces, where companies from all around San Diego County are celebrated for having created pleasant environments for their employees.

The entire team is delighted by the recognition from San Diego Business Journal. It’s pretty fun when you get to tell people that you work at one of the best places in San Diego.”
This year’s list consisted of 85 companies who all had to fulfill various requirements in order to be considered eligible. The list necessitated companies:
- Be a publicly or privately held business
- Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
- Have a facility in San Diego County
- Have a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in San Diego
- Must be in business a minimum of one year
Other specific qualifications included company’s workplace polices, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics along with an employee survey to measure their experiences at the company. The combined scores across the various categories determined the official rankings, which will be released at an awards ceremony and in a special SDBJ publication around mid-August.
This isn’t the first time Jacob Tyler has landed on a list in the San Diego Business Journal. Just earlier this month Jacob Tyler was ranked #33 out of 100 for the Fastest Growing Businesses in San Diego. The annual list considers many important factors such as verified revenue growth from 2009 to 2011, which Jacob Tyler grew a total of 100%.
This is the 6th year in a row Jacob Tyler has been acknowledgement by the SDBJ as one of San Diego’s Fastest Growing Companies.
